Digital Technologies in Primary Care

Welcome to the Digital Technologies in Primary Care SIG

The SIG brings together researchers and clinicians interested in the application of digital technologies in the delivery of primary care.

The SIG is Chaired by Professor Helen Atherton, University of Southampton. The SIG management team includes Dr Francesca Dakin, University of Oxford, and Dr Owain Jones, University of Bristol.

The SIG has five objectives:

• Build a network of researchers interested in digital technologies use for healthcare delivery.

• Provide networking opportunities for researchers from multi-disciplinary backgrounds who are interested in working in digital technologies in healthcare delivery.

• Provide a forum for discussion about the issues associated with research in this area, including the challenges.

• Provide a central point of contact for researchers in academic primary care looking to find expertise in the application of digital technologies in primary care.

• Bring together digital health researchers from within and outside of NIHR School for Primary Care Research departments.

We have a quarterly newsletter which is an opportunity for members to share successes and reach other members of the group.  If you are interested in joining the group and receiving our newsletter, please contact us: DigitalSIG@soton.ac.uk We welcome members from all professional backgrounds.
