SAPC Elections 2019

Seeking SAPC executive committee members

In 2019, we will be holding an election for two general member places on SAPC Executive, to serve from July 2019-2022.  Exeutive Members James Prior and Suzanne Richards' terms are due to end at the AGM in July 2019.  They have both indicated that they would like to stand for re-election.

We are delighted that Professor Carolyn Chew-Graham, Vice-chair will become Chair at the AGM in July 2019.

The Executive team lead the work of SAPC to raise the profile of Academic Primary Care, build a vibrant workforce by helping people Get In and Get On in APC, and enhance the impact of our work through supporting collaborations. You may like to read the most recent Officers' Report (presented at AGM 2018) which highlights SAPC activities in the year to July 2018.

Each Executive member leads on an area of work for the Society after they have been part of the team for a few meetings. Details of the current team can be found on the Exec page.

We're now inviting expressions of interest in standing for this year's election. Please also indicate, in a couple of sentences, which area of SAPC work you are particularly interested in supporting or new areas that you would like to help develop.

You must be a member of SAPC to stand. (You can join us here!) and must be proposed and seconded by SAPC members (electronic signatures permitted).

The deadline for submitting nominations is 5pm on Wednesday 17th April 2019. Please complete the nomination form and send it by email to office@sapc.ac.uk.

Electoral Reform Services will be running the elections for us again this year. Ballot notification will be sent shortly after the closing date for nominations, with an expected closing date of 30th May 2019. Results will be announced at the AGM on 4th July during the annual scientific meeting at the University of Exeter..

If you have questions about the process, please do contact Sue. For details about the posts, please contact Kate (SAPC Chair) or any member of the SAPC Executive.

We look forward to hearing from you!
