- A free registration to attend
The purpose of this prize is to support the career development of an earlier career primary care academic (student, doctoral fellow, or within 5 years pro rota of completing their PhD). The winner should demonstrate striving for excellence in scientific method/rigor and in presentation skills. Given that this is an early career prize, candidates should first and foremost demonstrate scientific excellence. The weighting of scoring reflects this priority.
Eligibility: conference delegates will indicate if they wish to be considered. Only undergraduate, doctoral students or those within 5 years of completion of their PHD will be eligible for this award. The top 10 highest scorers on peer review ranking will be put forward for judging
Contenders' presentations will be judged at the SAPC annual scientific meeting and the winner will be announced in the closing session.
The prize does not include a presentation slot. If the winner wishes to give a presentation he/she must submit an abstract to NAPCRG in the usual way.
