Professor Paul Little awarded RCGP Discovery Prize

We are delighted to announce that Professor Paul Little, from the University of Southampton, is this year's recipient of the RCGP's Discovery Award. This is one of the College's most prestigious awards, given in recognition of outstanding research in general practice.

Paul's research, and its translation into policy and practice, has been at the forefront of primary care research in the UK and internationally. His focus has been avoiding the harms of overtreatment of common self-limiting conditions such as sore throat, earache and painful eyes. HIs work on antibiotic prescribing has been at the forefront of primary care research and has changed practice and behaviours. We congratulate him on this great achievement.
