*Evidence of impact of the SIG

In our first online meeting 2 members where able to present their proposed research projects and receive feedback from other members including senior academics at Professor level. This meeting also allowed others to learn from SAPC co-chair Prof Rupert Payne about how achieved career progression all the way to Professor and the challenges he faced along the way,

Our newsletters allow members to disseminate their published research articles to other members and spread learning from key research papers recently published in the field of quality and safety improvement.

Our face to face meeting in 2023 was at the SAPC ASM in Brighton. Due to table configuration and attendance numbers we had a joint meeting with the Prescribing and Medication Optimisation meeting. Our members discussed how their quality and safety research aligned with medication optimisation.

*Outcomes from SIG meeting at last SAPC ASM (if held)

*How affiliation with SAPC has helped the SIG

Provided a face to face meeting space at the ASM which allows for a different kind of conversation compared to online meeting.

Legitimises the group as bonafide UK researchers in quality and safety.

Allowed us to better network using the whole SAPC mailing list to highlight key events and newsletters.

Allowed us international networking opportunities e.g. networking with WONCA Working Party: Quality & Safety chair Jose Maria Valderas
