My research focuses on behavioural medicine. Behavioural medicine integrates biological, psychological, and sociological knowledge to prevent and treat disease and to aid rehabilitation.  You can read more about our research on our team website.

My work focuses on helping people change their behaviour, either to prevent serious disease, or as a treatment for that disease.  In particular, I work on supporting smoking cessation and harm reduction and, latterly, on weight management for people with obesity.  The defining characteristics of the interventions we develop and test is that they are of low intensity and high reach, aiming to achieve some change for the many.
