Dr Katherine E Sleeman
Katherine Sleeman is an NIHR Clinician Scientist and Honorary Consultant in palliative medicine. She graduated from University College London Medical School in 1999 with a degree in Developmental biology (top 1st - 1996) and distinctions in clinical pharmacology and pathology. After training in general medicine and Oncology at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospitals and the Royal Marsden, she did a PhD at the Institute of Cancer Research (London) on breast cancer stem cells, graduating in 2007. She started specialist training palliative medicine in 2007, and was appointed to an NIHR Clinical Lectureship in palliative medicine at KCL in 2010. In 2016 she took up an NIHR Clinician Scientist Fellowship at the Cicely Saunders Institute, KCL.
