Mentees

A mentee in the SAPC mentorship programme will be expected to engage with their appointed mentor and maintain approximately four contacts, normally of one – two hours duration, over a calendar year (which may be face to face, telephone, Skype or email, as negotiated between mentor and mentee) for the duration of their award.

Essential Criteria

  • Employed in academic primary care in research and/or education
  • A member of SAPC
  • Willing to participate in the Mentorship scheme
  • Committed to a career in Academic Primary Care

Desirable Criteria

  • Willing to participate in networking opportunities, outreach and/or peer support events related to the mentorship scheme

I chair an informal national network to provide peer and senior support for NIHR Inclusive research / Deep End research delivery networks. Co‑founder of the Sheffield Deep End Research Alliance, a research collaboration of practitioners, patients, and academics . 

Expertise  in participatory research, clinical trial methodology, and co‑designed complex interventions in primary care. My work focuses on intersectionality of. social determinants of health with early onset and multiple long‑term conditions.
