Expanding the Primary Care Workforce:

The Growing Role of the Multidisciplinary Team in Australia and the UK

The Australasian Association of Academic Primary Care (AAAPC) and the Society for Academic Primary Care (SAPC, UK) are pleased to present a joint webinar exploring innovative approaches to strengthening primary care through engagement of health professionals beyond traditional general practice.

With growing demands on primary care services internationally, multidisciplinary workforce models are becoming increasingly important in improving access, coordination and quality of care. Drawing on experiences from Australia and the United Kingdom, presenters will discuss the roles of family wellbeing workers, social prescribing, and pharmacists working within primary care teams.

The webinar will feature four short presentations followed by a panel discussion and audience Q&A

Thursday 24th September 2026, 5.30-6.30pm AEST, 7.30-8.30pm NZT, 8.30am - 9.30am BST (UK)
