Rebecca graduated in Medicine from Nottingham in 2002, progressing to GP training on the Oxford Training Scheme. She subsequently developed an academic GP career, with roles initially at Leeds, then Dundee Universities, graduating with a Masters in Medical Education with Dundee in 2022. Rebecca was appointed as Clinical Lead at St Andrews School of Medicine in 2016, and as BSc Course Director in 2020, with promotion to Senior Lecturer that same year. She is now MBChB Programme Director for the new ScotCOM course and Deputy Head of School (MBChB programmes) at St Andrews. Her main areas of expertise are in Community Based Medical Education and new undergraduate medicine course development. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh and a Fellow of the Royal College of GPs.  She remains clinically active as a GP in Fife.
