SAPC Senior Investigator Research Prize

Winners of the SAPC Senior Research Prizes will be eligible for a travel bursary, with the opportunity to present their work at a Distinguished Paper slot at the annual NAPCRGAAAPC or ASME conferences. These are important opportunities to showcase APC and SAPC.

Winning presentations will therefore be judged based on their ability to highlight/demonstrate:

  • Academic primary care impacting on the health of individuals and populations through education and research
  • SAPC advancing primary care through education and research

The top-10 scoring abstracts where applicant has self-nominated as eligible will be considered. The presentations will be judged at the conference by senior academics and the winners will be announced in the closing session of the ASM.

Two senior research prizes are awarded.

Eligibility

Greater than 5 years* post-doctoral.

To be considered for the award, applicants must opt in via the abstract submission form.

*5-years pro-rata from award of first doctoral degree (or equivalent). Where individuals work part-time, a 10-year absolute cut-off is proposed, as individuals are likely to have greater experience irrespective of part-time working.
