ScotGEM Academic Lead Generalist Clinical Mentor (GCM) - AO1902
We wish to appoint a ScotGEM Academic Lead Generalist Clinical Mentor (GCM) within the School of Medicine to further develop this key role within the ScotGEM rural generalist-focused MBChB programme. This post offers an excellent opportunity for career development for a senior educator with ambitions to pursue an academic career.
Candidates should be practising clinicians with extensive experience in clinical education at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, alongside a strong track record in educational scholarship or research. In addition to the usual expectations of a senior clinical educator, the successful candidate will demonstrate a genuine passion for generalism and community-based medical education, ideally within a rural context.
Enquiries should be directed to Dr Zoe McElhinney, ScotGEM Programme Director, zcm1@st-andrews.ac.uk
