News from RCGP

Congratulations from SAPC to Professor Kamila Hawthorne who has been elected as next Chair of Council, RCGP, from November 2022.

Kamila is a salaried GP in Mountain Ash, South Wales, and is currently Provost of the SE Wales Faculty of the RCGP. She will be the College’s fifth woman Chair and brings a wealth of experience to the role.

Congratulations also to Dr Victoria Tzortziou Brown who will be re-joining the Officer team as Vice Chair for External Affairs in November. An east London GP for almost 20 years, she has served as the College’s Honorary Secretary and RCGP London Faculties Chair, and more recently has been co-chairing the RCGP`s Health Inequalities Standing Group.  Victoria also joined the SAPC Executive Committee in July 2022 as comms lead.
