Dr Umar Chaudhry

(Co-opted) Ambassador Co-lead

Umar is a GP in south London and a PhD Student (2025-2028) at City St George's, University of London. His PhD is focused on risk prediction and communication of diabetes complications, particularly in South Asian and Black ethnic groups. 

His research interests include diabetes complications, medical technology, primary care and clinical education. He was previously a lead for public health teaching for final year medical students at City St George's. 

As Ambassador Co-lead, he engages with the SAPC Ambassadors and the wider SAPC community to enhance the experience of clinical academic GPs.
