We offer a point of reference and contact for those seeking academic solutions to the problems they face in the provision and study of Primary Care, and the advancement of Academic Primary Care.

In doing so, it is necessary for us to collect relevant personal data from our website visitors, members, authors, speakers and attendees of our annual scientific meeting. We only use your personal data such as your name and contact details, areas of interest and any payment details, in our legitimate business of administering the services you buy from us: membership and the annual scientific meeting.

Data we collect

  • Payment details for membership fees or registration fees.

  • Interaction data and telemetry used to distinguish humans from automated bots (Cloudflare Turnstile).
  • Additional information such as institution and areas of interest if you become a member or register for the annual scientific meeting (including phone number, job title, and billing address).

Our website uses analytics and embedded third-party media (such as YouTube), but users have full control over these via our consent manager. Please refer to our Cookie Policy.

What information we hold

  • Correspondence: Name, email address, phone number, social media username, and institution if provided.
  • Newsletters: Email address.
  • Event Registration: Name, job title, organisation, email address, phone number, and invoice address.
  • Business Records: Bank details, invoice records, and payment history.
  • Server Logs: Technical logs including IP addresses used to visit our site (processed via server-side software).

All purchases via the website are processed by Stripe; we never have access to your credit card information.

Where we store your information

We store your information in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, MailChimp (for newsletters), Stripe (for payments), and on password-protected drives for general business. We chose these systems partly for their commitment to security.

What we use your information for

We will never use your personal information for any reason other than why you gave it, and we will never give anyone access to it unless forced by Law. We do not sell your data to third parties.

In addition to administering membership and events, we use technical data (IP addresses and telemetry) for the legitimate interest of:

  • Monitoring site performance and usage (AWStats).
  • Diagnosing server errors.
  • Protecting the website and webforms from spam, abuse, and automated attacks (Cloudflare Turnstile).
