Liz Halcomb
An international award-winning nurse academic, Professor Halcomb is the inaugural Professor of Primary Health Care Nursing at the University of Wollongong. She leads a strong research program in primary care nursing, with particular emphasis on nursing in general practice, chronic disease and nursing workforce issues. Liz is an Editor of Collegian and the Chief Editor of Nurse Researcher (a journal of the Royal College of Nursing UK). She is also a member of the Editorial Board of the Australian Journal of Primary Health (AJPH) and has previously been an Editor for BMC Family Practice.
Rupert Payne
Professor Payne is a GP and Professor of Primary Care and Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Exeter, UK. His research and educational interests focus on polypharmacy and medication optimisation. He has been the consultant editor for the UK journal Prescriber since 2016, which is targeted at a primary care clinical readership and covers all aspects of prescribing, therapeutics and medicines management.
Tim Stokes
Professor Stokes is a GP and holds the Elaine Gurr Chair of General Practice at the Dunedin School of Medicine, University of Otago. He has over 25 years experience of health services research spanning general practice and primary health care, rural health, and the wider health system. He is Co-Editor-in-Chief of New Zealand’s Journal of Primary Health Care, was previously an Associate Editor with BMJ Quality and Safety and sits on several journal editorial boards.
Virginia Lewis
Professor Lewis holds a Research Chair in Community Health in the Australian Institute for Primary Care and Ageing at La Trobe University in Victoria, Australia. She has more than 30 years’ experience as a health services researcher and evaluator, and has been an Editor-in-Chief of the Australian Journal of Primary Health (AJPH) since 2015. The AJPH aims to provide high quality, robust evidence and commentary on community health services, primary care and primary health. It focuses on practice and broader policy questions, as well as research. The Journal builds on a long tradition of multidisciplinary research and practice in primary health care, and reflects widely held values that emphasise illness prevention and social inclusion.
