SAPC Early Career Academic Networking Event 30th January, 2018

Are you an early career academic working in Academic Primary Care? Do you want to meet peers and have discussions about careers with international and national experts in Academic Primary Care?

On the 30th January we are holding our second networking event being run by the SAPC early careers group. This free event gives you the opportunity to discuss with leading academics how to develop a successful career, answer your career development questions and to network with other Early Career Researchers.

Sessions include ‘presenting  your CV for maximum impact’; career pathways for education and research; identifying opportunities and overcoming challenges as an early career academic; engaging in teaching for researchers; and networking.

Speakers include Prof Jonathan Mant (Cambridge), Prof Bob McKinley (Keele), Prof Sue Richards (Leeds) and Dr Sophie Park (UCL).

Timings: 10.30-15.45

Travel Bursary

Five travel bursaries are available to those in early career positions.

To apply for a bursary please write 200 word statement outlining why you want to attend and what you hope to gain. Please contact office@sapc.ac.uk to obtain a form and then please submit your application to office@sapc.ac.uk. You will be required to obtain a signature from your head of department. Please submit your application by 18th January. We will inform you of the outcome by 24th January.
