Research Associate, SPLaT-19, Keele

This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a team of staff in Keele University’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is one of the UK’s leading centres of applied research in primary care and is a national centre for studying musculoskeletal disorders.

The post will support the delivery of a qualitative study as part of a larger programme of work: SPLaT-19 (Symptom Patterns and Lived experience of Long-COVID in children and adolescenTs).  The researcher will deliver primary qualitative research (semi-structured interviews with children, adolescents and their parents and carers); conduct qualitative thematic analysis, co-ordinate and run focus groups with professionals involved in the wider care and education of children and adolescents and work closely with the study patient and public involvement and engagement group. 

Along with experience of delivering qualitative research studies and working with service users groups and carers, the successful candidate will hold a PhD level qualification (or be within 3 months of submission) or have equivalent experience in the design, analysis, writing up and dissemination of research studies.
